Van Patten Provides Support to Portsmouth Community Nonprofit

May 2011 - Dare Mighty Things president David Van Patten lends his expertise to the community in many ways, including as the current vice president of the Cross Roads House Board of Directors. Van Patten is slated to take over as president of the Cross Roads House Board of Directors in July of this year. Cross Roads House has been providing secure, transitional shelter to individuals and families in the seacoast area since 1982. As the largest emergency and transitional shelter in New Hampshire, their need for operating revenue is great.

On Saturday, May 9, 2011 the Van Pattens, attended the 9th Annual Benefit by the Sea event which raised over $220,000 for the organization. These funds will provide operating revenue that allow for basic services, such as a clean bead, warm meals, and the support of case managers. Additionally, event proceeds will help Cross Roads House provide for six to eight additional families later in the year with the completion of their facility reconstruction project.
